Promoting HIV Prevention, Treatment , Care and Support

MASO works within the HIV and AIDS National Response supporting efforts to eliminate AIDS by 2030 seeking to achieve control of the epidemic. Using an integrated approach. MASO promotes the uptake of HIV prevention and SRHR services which include PMTCT, targeting key Populations, Adolescent Girls, young people and the general population.

MASO works with girls and women to prevent sexual violence, as well as supporting treatment and care among the general population.

Mitigating the Effects of HIV Children and Youth Programme

The programme focuses on reducing the effects of HIV targeting Orphans and vulnerable Children and seeks to ensure children have safe spaces free from violence which promotes child protection and child participation. The programme is community based where communities are capacitated to take care of OVC within their localities by being actively involved through the engagement of local structures.

Economic Strengthening

MASO promotes Climate Smart Technologies to fight malnutrition among vulnerable groups through Food and Nutrition Security. Other livelihoods initiatives include Village Savings and Loans (VSLs), Crafts and small livestock pass on mainly targeting grandmothers as caregivers and other vulnerable households who care for OVC. These interventions have build community resilience to harsh economic and climate conditions.
