MASO 32nd Annual General Meeting

Midlands AIDS Service Organization (MASO) is a membership organization registered under the PVO Act w.o 18/91 and is required to hold an Annual General Meeting. MASO held the 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at MASO Community Centre Mkoba, in Gweru, Midlands Province chaired by Dr V. Wasara the Executive Committee (Board Chair).

The AGM was attended by MASO members’ stakeholders and representatives from government ministries and departments. The AGM served as a platform for the organization to update its members on the organization’s activities for the previous year, the audit report, and MASO’s future trajectory.

In attendance at the AGM were the National AIDS Council, the Department of Social Development, and other developmental partners who applauded MASO for the great work it is doing in reaching out and serving vulnerable communities.

MASO’s intention to change its name to Multi AID Support Organisation once the registration is approved, generated interest. It was noted that in order for MASO to remain relevant it had to strategically shift its focus as the global vision to end AIDS by 2030 was getting close. MASO was moving with the theme of Moving towards an Era beyond the AIDS pandemic
